Application Process

The Appalachian Fund’s Advisory Council reviews Health, Education, and Service grant requests once a year. All funding requests for the 2027 grant period will be due by 11:59 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2026. Applications will not be accepted after this deadline. Grant inquiries for this funding request must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on October 10, 2026. More information about the application process for the 2027 grant period will be posted in fall 2026.

The Appalachian Fund's Advisory Council reviews Folk Arts and Cultures grant requests once a year. All funding requests for the 2026-2027 grant period are due by 11:59 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2026. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted.
